Care for your favourite pieces

Many of our beads are either wood, glass, ceramic, acrylic, polymer clay, seed beads and semi-precious gemstones.

We want you to enjoy your beads for as long as possible. Like any other pieces of jewellery, your beaded items will need some care.

Here are the top tips in keeping your beads looking their best.

• Avoid prolonged water exposure – remove before swimming, showering, or washing dishes.
• Stretch cord will lose elasticity over time. If it feels loose, it's time to restring.
• We offer restringing services for a small fee, or you can purchase elastic cord from us.

Caring for Metal & Gemstone Components

• Plated metals may fade or peel over time – embrace the vintage charm!
• Gold & silver beads may tarnish naturally with exposure to air, sweat, and oils.
• Gemstones should be handled gently – avoid pulling on cords or clasps.
• Memory wire, cuffs, and adjustable rings should be gently squeezed or wrapped to avoid bending.

Stainless Steel

• Where possible we use stainless steel spacers & fasteners. 
• It is durable and requires polishing over time
